The first time I talked to Vicky I was in Mexico on vacation and I got an email that was so sweet and excited, I had to make myself available to chat. She didn’t disappoint on the phone! She was so genuinely excited for her wedding I knew it would be an incredible day. Fast forward a few months and the wedding day had arrived. You could not have asked for a more beautiful day. The ceremony and reception took place at Granite Links in Quincy, MA. I was joined by Coco Boardman who is a complete crack-up and great to work with. I started with the girls while Coco started with the guys.
Here Vicky gets the final touches on her hair:
Meanwhile Avi gets a close shave with an old-school straight razor.
I just loved watching the girls slip Vicky into her dress. It was a sea of material!
There’s a moment when a bride first slips on her gown on her wedding day (and it literally happens to almost every bride) where it all suddenly becomes a lot more real. It’s a quiet moment that causes a flood of emotion.
While Vicky was slipping in her dress, Avi snuck into Granite Links and waited for the chance to see his beautiful bride for the first time. The excitement between the two was adorable.
After the first look we took the golf carts down to the old quarry just off the club’s property. It’s a great setting that lends itself to some gorgeous portraits!
How cute are these two together?
A few details before the ceremony:
Granite Links overlooks the skyline of Boston and is perched up on a high bluff overlooking the surrounding towns.
This kid was a such a crack up all day. He’s obviously real enthused about his role. Coco nabbed this great shot.
The ceremony was flooded with gorgeous natural light:
This smile was a permanent fixture all day:
We snuck outside at sunset for a few quick portraits:
Such a sweet final dance for the two of them:
A final send-off:
Thank so much to Avi and Vicky for including me in their day! Also – thanks to Coco Boardman for her help. Check out the slideshow below to see more from this wedding:
