Stasia and Peter

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Stasia and Peter’s wedding at Tyrone Farm in Pomfret, CT.  Not only were Stasia and Peter great to work with, but I absolutely loved Tyrone Farm.  First of all – Ian, the manager, was great to work with.  However, I was really impressed with the farm’s commitment to providing “Green” weddings.  For example – the farm provides 80% of its own electricity using solar panels.  They also grow all of their own flowers that are used in all of the arrangements. Not to mention they have this beautiful old house that has been kept in impeccable condition.

The house made an excellent backdrop for Stasia’s beautiful dress:

One of the things I loved about Tyrone Farm was the character – these portraits belong to Ian’s family members.  Such a nice touch for a bridal room.

I really enjoy shooting details.  I found this great red velvet couch in one of the main rooms of the old house – they just called out for Stasia’s shoes:

Stasia’s sister Heather helped lace up the back of her dress:

I was fortunate enough to have been accompanied by Megan Dupuis of Perspectives Photography – who captured this great moment between Stasia and her new Mother-in-Law:

I love Peter’s suit & tie.

Remember those flowers I mentioned that are grown at Tyrone Farm?  Not bad huh?!

Check out the views behind the ceremony… spectacular.

Megan grabbed this great shot of the kiss – love it!

You might notice that there is not a lot of black and white in this post.  That’s because the colors and light were too good to pass up!

I loved this completely natural moment between Peter and Stasia.  These are the moments that make photographing weddings so much fun!

Stasia asked if we could shoot a dip picture.  Peter couldn’t have been a better sport and dipped Stasia probably a dozen times!  But the kudos go to Megan for her shot below.

Receptions at Tyrone take place inside this great old barn:

I have to give Peter credit for the “no-look” cake feeding here!

Please check out the slideshow – this is just a small sample of all the fun from the wedding:

Thanks to Ian from Tyrone Farms, as well as Megan from Perspectives Photography, and Sarah my other assistant!  Also, thanks especially to Stasia and Peter for inviting me to share in your wedding.  I had such a blast!

Scott Quarforth - As usual, another absolutely beautiful location. I love how you mix it up between macro/details to a wide angle/bigger picture. I really like the sidewalk shot Megan took, with the bride and groom out of focus in the background. Very creative.
