Nour and David – A Pennsylvania Wedding

I met Nour and David for the first time in their cute walk-up apartment in Boston’s North End.  I instantly liked them and was really hoping they’d call me later that day and tell me they felt the same way.  Not sure if it happened exactly that day… but I got the call soon enough, and I think we all knew we’d have a ton of fun together.  Both Nour and David have infectious smiles – and when you’re around them you can’t help but feel the energy between them.  I was so honored to photograph their wedding.  They have two unbelievably welcoming families who made our day (I was joined by my wife Amanda) so much fun.  I really think you’ll get a kick out of their slide show below.  I think the Vimeo format is pretty popular and now the shows can load on smart-phones which is pretty cool.

I tried to pick a few of my favorites from their day.  Don’t be shy – let me know what you think in the comments!

It’s almost a certainty that someone will get word back to the bride that her husband to be isn’t in his suit yet.  I never have the heart to tell them that this is what their fiancee is doing while they’re getting their hair and makeup done.  Check out David’s spiral (he completed the pass).

Literally only a few moments later, Nour was upstairs helping her sister fix her hair.

Clearly, Nour made my day easy.

David workin’ the dew.

One of my favorite shots in quite some time.  Nour descends the stairs as her father, and future father-in-law watch:

Some quick bridal portraits before heading out to the ceremony.

She seems to glow!

The boys take a shortcut:

I saw this door and instantly had a shot in my mind.  These shots were inspired from a 1930s Vanity Fair portrait of Joan Crawford.

I love this moment.  Nour and her father smile at her sisters as they reach the isle.

David was a baller in college.  We were dying to get to a basketball court – but daylight was fighting with us… so we had some fun without the court.

Love her flowers!

I love the little sparkle in her eye.

A good looking bridal party deserves to show a little attitude right?  Five of them are Nour’s sisters and brother!

This was one of the cutest moments I’ve seen all season.  David’s grandmother was helped over to the dance floor to be able to watch the cake cutting.  After Nour and David fed each other, David gave Grandma a bite!

Guess who wins….

Hard to pick just one fun one from the party… but I thought this was funny.  Nour’s sister had just removed her veil and was having some fun with it as their mom tried out her vocals!

This is a fun slideshow and worth the time!  Check it out.  And please don’t be shy – I love comments!  Let me know what you think.  Thanks!

Nour and David – thank you so much for welcoming Amanda and I into your day.  We feel honored to have been able to capture such fun emotion.
