Bet you thought I disappeared? No disappearing act – just a crazy busy season! It’s been a whirlwind August and September with some of the most beautiful weddings and fun couples to date. With a few weeks break before another series of weddings – I thought this would be a great time to get a few blog posts out to let everyone see what I’ve been up to all summer.
Megan and Brent are just about the cutest couple you could witness. We did a quick engagement session in the early spring and I knew immediately that these two would be a snap to photograph! Add to that the fact that they got married at one of my favorite venues, Tyrone Farm in Pomfret CT (with the ceremony at Clark Chapel on Pomfret Academy’s campus) – and this was certain to be a great event. To make the day even more special, Megan and Brent were married by his father.
I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from the day!
The flower girl checking the rain status:
Megan fully embracing her soon-to-be new name:
Getting the dress on is always an “all hands on deck” type of experience!
Megan’s mother puts her necklace on by the mirror.
I was joined by Doug Levy for the day – who hung out with the guys as they got ready:
Doug grabbed a great shot outside this adorable little chapel.
Meanwhile I was inside:
I love the architectural details of the Clarke Chapel. Such a neat spot. I always hunt around for little bits of character like this:
Megan and her father preparing to make their way towards the church. Doug grabbed this great shot as I caught the action inside the church.
I think I got along well with the bridesmaids!
Megan helped into the church by her father.
While I was grabbing the shot above – Doug was up in the balcony getting the aerial view. I had to edit him out of the last one!
The stunning chapel:
I don’t need to tell you how adorable these two were.
I’m a total freak for symmetry and you can’t help but think these angles are a bit of kismet….
What was even cuter than the kiss was their moment just after it!
Brent giving thanks for the AMAZING weather that seemed to suddenly come their way. And their flower girl and ring bearer dutifully staying close behind as they exit the church.
I don’t often blog formal group photos – but I just thought these next two were so cool – this church is just so beautiful.
How cool is this ivy!?
After the ceremony we had a bit of free time for some portraits with just the two of them.
I couldn’t help but use the ivy again:
See what I mean about cute?!
Back at Tyrone Farm we stopped to do a few shots in front of the barn. Love this one!
Megan’s mom surprised the couple and arranged to have the Chick-Fil-A cow make an appearance (they both LOVE Chick-Fil-A).
Tyrone Farm has a beautiful tent out back with a bluestone terrace – a great setting for dinner and toasts.
After toasts, the guests made their way to the barn for the party to begin!
Megan’s sister watching the first dance:
I love this sequence – Megan gets some good height on the throw……
But it’s a full bridesmaid scramble for the reception! Doug grabbed this catch shot!

Thanks so much to Megan and Brent for allowing me to witness and record such a fun and intimate day. You guys were the best! Also – special thanks to Doug Levy and Ian McLaren from Tyrone Farm (the coolest Venue manager on the planet).
