Mary-Stuart & Scott – An Eastern Yacht Club Wedding

If I had to choose one adjective to describe Mary-Stuart and Scott’s wedding, it would be ‘joyous.’  You can just feel the happiness oozing out of these pictures.  I had a blast getting to know both families and I can truly say that this couple is surrounded by so much love.  Not to mention, this was certainly one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.  There are few places as lovely as Marblehead in the fall.  Mary-Stuart and Scott assembled an amazing professional team headed up by Alexis Ellopoulos O’Mara (from Weddings by Alexis).  I also got the chance to work with Elysium Productions out of California for the wedding film.  I absolutely love this wedding (as did the Knot Magazine, which has it featured right now).  I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do!

We started out the day in Mary-Stuart’s family home:

The beautiful bride getting her makeup done:

LOVE this one.  Mary-Stuart and Scott’s mothers in awe of the dress:

Let the happiness begin:

I was joined by Coco Boardman who started the day with the guys on the waterfront in Marblehead:

We set up a first look in Marblehead’s Crocker Park, overlooking the harbor and the neck:

Love this set:

A chestnut, for luck:

The mothers getting along famously:

After the park we headed into downtown Marblehead for the ceremony:

Love these little moments and connections:

After leaving the church, the couple took a shortcut across the harbor on the Eastern Yacht Club’s shuttle.  The sun popped out from the clouds just as we boarded the boat:

The tent outside the Eastern was filled with all sorts of beautiful seasonal colors and flowers:

It’s a tradition at the Eastern Yacht club that the couple gets to fire the cannon to signal the end of the day:

This thing is LOUD!!!

Cocktail hour:

An epicly happy first dance:

Mary-Stuart’s sister and twin brother surprised the couple with a serenade from the B.C. Men’s a-capella group:

Some more favorites from the reception:

Check out this ice cream station – flash frozen and custom made to order!!

At the end of the night, the guests lit Chinese lanterns and floated them up into the sky.  Such a neat sight:

Mary-Stuart and Scott – Thank you so much for allowing me to share this wonderful day with you.  It was such a pleasure to a part of all this happiness.  Thanks to Coco Boardman and Alexis, from Weddings by Alexis, for all their help!
