So, the 2012 season is off to a fantastic start and I’m excited to start posting some of this year’s beautiful weddings- but not before I share this awesome wedding! Kristi and Brian are incredibly fun to be around. We had a blast when we met for their engagement session last summer. They’re goofy, sweet and kind. Not surprisingly they have equally awesome friends and family who really made me feel like I was part of the party. I’m really excited to share these images from one of my favorite venues, Turner Hill Mansion in Ipswich, MA. I hope you enjoy!!
See what I mean about being goofy?
I met the girls on Newbury St. where they were getting their hair and makeup done in the salon. I think this picture says it all…
Kristi being helped into her dress:
One of the great things about this wedding is I had the opportunity to shoot with two good friends and super talented photographers Eric Laurits and Eric McCallister. Eric Laurits was looking for a chance to tag along at a wedding and try out some new techniques on a new camera. Uhhmmmm…. yeah. I’m a big fan of his work and had to share a few of his shots. Here is one of Eric’s from before the ceremony:
The flower girls gather in foyer before the ceremony.
I love this one. Brian and his groomsmen trying to sneak peeks at the guests and girls in the back.
Another killer Eric Laurits capture. Kristi and her dad working out some nerves before the walk down the isle.
A quiet moment on the altar.
Brian’s smile is infectious.
Brian and his father share a moment of congratulations as they walk down the isle.
With the daylight slipping away we rushed to take a few pics outside before the party kicked into gear.
I love seeing the two families interact. The dads seem to be hitting it off.
The tent at Turner Hill looked stunning. Thanks to Eric McCallister for grabbing the shot on the right.
I love toasts. I’ve said that before – so I thought I’d share a series this time from the toasts.
The absolutely lovely first dance.
Kristi and her father played a slideshow of pics of the two of them through the years… talk about emotional. But they still managed to smile and joke despite the waterworks.
Guests were treated to a fantastic fireworks display. Eric McCallister hustled out onto the golf course to get a shot of Turner Hill with the fireworks going off.
I stayed close to the guests and caught a few reactions during the display:
A fitting end to the night.
