Jen & Justin – A West Dennis Wedding

I’ve been looking forward to sharing this wedding for quite some time – I think you’ll know why as soon as you see how fun these two were!  Jen and Justin got married on what was supposed to be a cold, rainy Cape Cod October day.  Somehow, miraculously, the skies parted and allowed us to get some of the most fun and dramatic (wait till you see the sky!) images that I have photographed all year.  Not only did the weather cooperate, but Jen and Justin are two of the most expressive, loving couples I have had the pleasure to work with.

I tried to limit these to my favorite images, and ones that help tell the story – but you really need to check out the slideshow at the end to get the full effect!

Love the intensity as Jen’s bridesmaids helped her get into her dress.

This was Jen’s first glimpse of herself in the dress:

Check out the look on this flower girl’s face.  She was in AWE!  Adorable.

Have you ever seen a more proud father?!  This was the first time he’d seen the dress, much less his daughter in her wedding gown!

Jen’s grandmother must have known something…. she made this handkerchief for Jen’s father!  AND it matches the colors of the wedding… impressive!

Jen’s elegant bouquet.

This is my favorite from the ceremony  – I just love the bridesmaids peering around to catch Justin’s expression.

After the ceremony we snuck away for some shots down by the beach – since the weather was cooperating.  This one was in the trolley just before we got to the beach.

Check out these dramatic skies!

As I was taking the shot above – this random woman kept yelling at me that I was missing the shot.  I turned around with a quizzical look on my face, but then realized what she was talking about!  Check out this beam of sunlight pouring down from the skies.

Probably my favorite of the day – Jen was bound and determined to get in the water.  Growing up on by these rocks, she didn’t even hesitate for a second to climb her way down towards the water.  Not before playing for a moment in the winds.

She got in!

Justin eventually met her down by the water’s edge for this classic portrait.  Don’t they look great!?

Jen climbed right up the rocks – Justin had to jog around!

I loved the colors they chose for all of the dresses, flowers and ties.

Jen and Justin’s sister got a bit closer than I think either imagined – their earrings got attached together!  This shot is just as they were getting free.

Practicing for their first dance out on the deck.

My second shooter Eric caught this one of them leaving the deck.

How cute are they?!

I just loved this moment between Justin and his mom.

A wonderful exit to a fantastic wedding!

Justin and Jen – Thank you so much for being so welcoming and fun!  I wish you two all the best in the many happy years to come.  Also a special thanks to Eric McCallister for his excellent help during the day.
