I can’t say enough about how fun it was to work with Heather and Jason. They’re two of the nicest people you could meet. Not only are they extremely easy going and fun to be around – they’re so cute together it just made the day that much more memorable for me to be able to capture their excitement throughout the day. The couple planned their wedding from across the country and coordinated guests from Australia (Jason is Australian- yes ladies, he’s got an accent). Despite all the planning challenges, they had an incredibly lovely and intimate wedding.
I arrived early at the Heather’s home to find her doing her own makeup like a pro.
I was immediately in awe of her gown… the bottom had these ruffles that were so fun to photograph. As you could see – she was stunning in it!
Heather and her father practice the walk down the isle.
I was joined by my friend Doug Levy for the day. Doug captured the guys as they got ready. Here, Jason gets some face time in front of the mirror.
Heather looked radiant on the ride into Boston.
The ceremony was held at the Old South Meeting House. For you history buffs – this was the site where the Boston Tea Party was coordinated.
One of many excited glances during the day.
I love the juxtaposition of the rich history of the building and something so new and exciting as a wedding. Heather and Jason now share in the living history of this amazing spot. What a cool place to get married (yes, I’m a history dork).
When the officiant let Jason know it was time for the kiss, he gave her a great, but wonderfully traditional kiss. Then this happened. I knew he was going for it!
The connection between these two was so fun to witness.
My difficult subjects really struggled to get comfortable. (*caution: heavy sarcasm at use*)
Doug caught this great moment during portraits:
Loved the shoes peeking through whenever Heather moved.
After some portraits in the North End, the reception was held at the Fairmont Battery Wharf. Their first dance was no less fun to watch than the rest of the day!
Loved this final dance shot!

Thanks so much to Heather and Jason for allowing me to capture such a great day! Also, special thanks to Doug Levy for all his help.
