Allie & Jamie – A Boston Four Seasons Wedding

I think you’re going to fall in love with Allie and Jamie’s beautiful wedding.  It’s the quintessential Boston wedding and I loved everything about it from start to finish.  For starters, any wedding where you can walk one block to the church is doing something right!  I think you’ll also see that Allie and Jamie had impeccable taste.  The day started off at the Four Seasons where both the girls and guys got prepared for the ceremony.  From there, the guests made the short journey to the Arlington Street Church which is so rich with history.  The church was built in 1861, the same year the Civil War broke out.  Being a history buff, I love shooting in places with such deep roots.  After the ceremony, the guests lined the steps and sidewalk of the church to give a huge congratulations to the couple.  It made for an awesome spectacle for anyone passing by on Arlington Street!  From there, we headed directly across the street to the Public Garden to snap a few quick family formals and to spend a little time with the couple.  The reception was held in the Four Seasons ballroom where Winston Flowers did an incredible job of transforming the space with the help of Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting Design.  It was definitely an impressive sight for the guests to enjoy!  I’ve tried to share the story in images and I hope you enjoy!

The attention to detail began with the printed invitations and programs.  This cute little illustration of the public garden was on the back of the envelopes of the save the dates.  And anyone who knows Allie and her family well will know how big a role the shoes play!!

Allie’s suite in the Four Seasons had a huge window that overlooked the public gardens below:

The window flooded the room with natural light:

I was joined by Lindsay Flanagan who was nice enough to help out for the day.  She hung out with the guys while I photographed with the girls:

I loved this moment as the bridesmaids helped Allie into her gown:

Allie’s father sees her in the dress for the first time:

The stunning bride!

The limo pulled up in a small alley next to the Arlington church where Allie was bathed by the sunset.

Allie peeks around the corner of the side door to the church:

The Arlington Church made for some epic scenes:

A truly happy couple:

Mr. & Mrs. for the first time!

The guests lined the front steps and ushered the couple out of the church:

We found this beautiful spot in the public garden near the weeping willows to stop and take a few formals.  The birds objected to our location and Jamie was the unfortunate recipient of their displeasure!

Pretty hard to take a bad photo of these two!

A perfect spot with gorgeous light and one happy couple.

Allie and Jamie make their way back to the hotel:

The colors of cocktail hour:

A gorgeous sight awaits guests in the main ballroom.  The couple opted for a mix of square and rectangle tables:

The first dance:

You can tell a lot about a couple by their friends and Allie and Jamie’s friends were so truly happy and supportive of the two all day long.

Allie and her father share a dance:

Allie’s mother got up to say a few words and to welcome the guests:

The night time entertainment was provided by Soho and the dance floor was never empty.

The Four Seasons bobsled team:

The couple assisted the band with their final number of the evening!

Thank you so much to Allie and Jamie for including me in their beautiful wedding!  Also a special thanks to Lindsay Flanagan for her help as well.  Check out the slideshow below to see more of their wedding:
